Privacy Policy

Effective September 2, 2026

The short version: Good Take has no account system and no server. Your videos, audio, scripts, and transcripts are processed on your iPhone and never leave it — we could not read them if we wanted to. Two things leave the phone: anonymous usage statistics, which you can turn off, and, if you subscribe, your App Store receipt, which goes to the service that validates it.

Good Take is made by Eloy Ventures, LLC, doing business as Solo Apps ("Solo Apps", "we", "us").

What stays on your device

Everything you create or set up in Good Take is stored only in the app's own storage on your iPhone:

• Video and audio recordings, and every take of them
• Scripts, talking points, and interview questions
• Transcripts, captions, and edits
• Delivery reports and the measurements behind them
• Your answers to the optional profile questions, your weekly goal, and your export history
• Which takes you have exported without the Good Take mark
• Text you send to Good Take from another app through the Share sheet, which is kept in the app's own shared container on the phone

Good Take never uploads this content. It is not backed up by us, synced by us, or visible to us. Deleting a take in the app, or deleting the app, removes it. A backup of your iPhone to iCloud or to a computer may include the app's data under Apple's terms, not ours.

Speech recognition

The prompter and Studio use Apple's on-device speech recognition to follow your voice and build transcripts. Recognition runs locally; the app requires on-device processing and does not send your audio to us or to any third party. iOS shows its own standard notice when you grant the Speech Recognition permission.

Talk It Out and other on-device intelligence

Talking points and interview questions are generated from what you say by Apple's on-device language model. Background replacement uses Apple's on-device person segmentation. Your audio, text, and video stay on the phone and are not sent to us or to Apple's servers by Good Take.

Analytics

Good Take sends anonymous usage statistics — events like "app opened", "take completed", or "export finished", carrying only counts, categories, and yes/no flags — so we can see which features get used and where people stop. Events can include things like how many days since the app was installed, whether an export carried the Good Take mark, which paywall was shown, your weekly goal and streak, and the categories you picked in the optional profile questions (what you make, how often you post, what gets in the way). They are processed in the European Union by TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service that anonymizes what it receives. The app sets no user identifier; TelemetryDeck counts installs using an anonymized identifier that cannot be reversed by us and is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.

Your scripts, transcripts, audio, video, and titles are never part of any event — the event vocabulary is typed so that they cannot be. You can turn analytics off entirely in Settings → Privacy → Share Anonymous Analytics, and the very next event stays on your phone.

Purchases

Payments for Good Take Pro are processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account; we never see your payment details. To validate your subscription, including across reinstalls and when you tap Restore Purchases, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription management service, which receives your App Store receipt and a random, app-generated identifier. That identifier is not your name, email, or device ID, and it is not linked to anything you create in the app. Offer codes are redeemed through Apple. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Exports and sharing

When you save a video to Photos or share a video or a report card, the file goes only where you send it, through Apple's Share sheet. The app you choose there handles it under its own privacy policy. Videos exported without a subscription may carry a small Good Take mark. Rating prompts are Apple's own and go through the App Store.

Permissions the app asks for

• Camera — films your takes. Video stays on your phone.
• Microphone — records your audio and lets the prompter keep pace with your voice.
• Speech recognition — keeps your place in a script and builds transcripts, on-device.
• Photos (add only) — saves finished videos to your library when you ask.
• Photos (choose) — lets you pick a photo or video to use as a background. It stays on your phone.
• Notifications — optional reminders scheduled on your phone, such as a weekly goal at risk. There is no push server. Turn them off in iOS Settings.

What we do not do

• No accounts, sign-ups, or passwords
• No advertising and no ad identifiers
• No tracking across apps or websites
• No selling or sharing of personal data

Children

Good Take is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — children included, since the app collects none.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. A change that affected what leaves your device would be called out in the app itself before it applied.
