Terms of Use
Effective August 29, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Good Take ("we", "us") covering your use of the Good Take iPhone application. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
1. The license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Good Take on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or lease any part of the app except where the law says such restrictions cannot apply.
2. Your content is yours
Everything you make with Good Take — recordings, scripts, transcripts, exports — belongs to you. It is stored on your device and processed there; we claim no rights over it and take no license to it. You are responsible for the content you create and for having the right to record anyone who appears in it.
3. Subscriptions
- Good Take Pro is an auto-renewing subscription — $49 per year or $9 per month — billed to your Apple ID through the App Store.
- It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple subscription settings; deleting the app does not cancel it.
- Prices may change; Apple will notify you and ask for consent before a changed price applies to you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy.
4. The free tier
Good Take is usable without a subscription, with a limited number of included takes. Content you have already created is never locked behind the paywall: takes you recorded remain yours to watch, edit, and export whatever your subscription is doing.
5. Automatic features can be wrong
Transcripts, captions, talking points, interview questions, and delivery feedback are generated automatically on your device. They can mishear, mislabel, or misjudge. Review anything the app wrote for you before you rely on it or publish it.
6. Analytics
Good Take collects anonymous usage statistics as described in the Privacy Policy. You can turn them off in Settings. Your content is never part of them.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Good Take to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to record people without whatever consent your jurisdiction requires.
8. Warranty disclaimer
Good Take is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any take will be good — that part is still yours.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or content, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Termination
You can stop using Good Take at any time by deleting it. We may terminate this license if you materially breach these terms. Sections 2 and 5–9 survive termination.
11. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
